Stepping into the 25th year ( Silver Jubilee ) of its glorious history and excellent track record Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (RIPS), Berhampur has made significant contribution to the cause of technical education in general and Pharmaceutical Sciences in particular. Established in the year 1986, institute made rapid strides in imparting quality education and research which truly reflected in terms of high success rate in the university examinations, GATE/GPAT, placement and research publications in the journals of national and international repute by the students and faculty members. Following the establishment of D. Pharm and B. Pharm courses, the institute pioneered Post Graduate education in Pharmacy in the state of Odisha and has the distinction of being the first P.G. Pharmacy institute in the state, approved by AICTE in the year 2000-2001. RIPS offers M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry under BPUT and M.Sc. Biotechnology under Berhampur University. Due to positive initiative and encouragement by the management, research has become an integral part of the institute. During the past 10 years 15 faculty members and 3 scholars completed research from this institute and have been awarded PhD. Additional facilities have been created to strengthen teaching and research at par with many university departments in the country.
Objectives of RIPS Alumni:
To provide a platform through which the alumni of this institute can keep in touch consistently with the students and faculty of the institute and share their views
To enable the alumni to take part in such activities of the institute as may contribute to the general improvement of the status of the institute and alumni
To help the alumni to get advice from the institute on various technical problems that they may come across in their work
To facilitiate lively contact between alumni and alma matter.
To provide a right platform for knowledge sharing and placement of the current students.
To establish national and international chapters of the association.
